Happy 25th Birthday Frank

My friend Frank just turned 25. Big number. What did we do?

We started off by having dinner with our high school friends at Boiling Crab in Alhambra. We ordered 20lbs of seafood. Luckily, one of my friends, Jimmy, was able to finish any of the leftovers. After dinner, we went to SpeedZone in City of Industry.

SpeedZone, for those who don’t know about it, is a family recreational center with go kart racing, miniature golf, and arcade.

1. Arcade
I was a bit dissapointed at the fact that they make you use a card instead of tokens that costs you $1. That means if you wanted to play (1) game that costed you $1, it would actually cost you $2 to play that game. Ripping off little kids. All 10 of us purchased $30-50 value cards that we mostly spent playing games that give you tickets. We combined the tickets to redeem a gift for Frank. We collected about 3,000 tickets to only redeem a prize worth about $15. We might as well used the $300 invested to purchase him a PS3. Sigh~

2. Go Kart
This was fun. I think I won too although most of the competitors would probably deny it.

3. Miniature Golf
This was fun too. It’s a lot more fun when you’re playing with a large group of close friends. I didn’t do too well but had a good time.
