My New Diesel Viker Jeans

Over the weekend, I grabbed a pair of new “designer” jeans – Diesel Viker 88Z. 88Z is the wash (style) of the jeans. I wanted a new pair of jeans that were dark and fitted compared to the current ones I own (loose) before my Tokyo trip this April. However, I definitely did not want to get “skinny” jeans as I don’t think it looks good and is a “fad” that needs to only be worn by females.

I grabbed these at the Diesel store in Old Town Pasadena for $160. Yes, I know they’re expensive but I don’t think owning 1 pair of expensive jeans is a sin. Surprised they weren’t on sale despite the recession. After trying them on, I thought to myself and said if I had worn these back when I was in high school when “baggy” was in the trend, I probably would have been made fun of for wearing jeans that looked too tight.  Come to think of it, I recall wearing straight leg jeans one day and my friend Jean (yes her name is spelled this way), thought they were too tight.  Back then, the baggier the jeans, the cooler you were. Ironically, these days, it’s the quality and fit that outweighs the bagginess.

Nevertheless, I’m happy with my purchase and really like this pair over my True Religions.
