I’ve been waiting a very long time for this game to be released. Street Fighter II was first released 1987. I recall going to the arcades in my younger days just to play this game. Costed 25 cents to play which is nothing compared to the $1-2 games at the arcade games today. Street Fighter III was released in 1997 and must have been a flop because I never played it. Not sure why Capcom didn’t follow its pattern of releasing the next game every 10 years but maybe they were waiting for XBOX 360/PS3 to go mainstream.
This game is going to be a success. Why? Not only is the gameplay going to be based off the original Street Fighter II but now it’s being released to consoles that are hooked up to the net. Thus, you’ll have players matching up against players from international regions.
I haven’t bought an XBOX 360 game since Gears of War I but this will be the next game I add to my 2 game library.
